Kaslo House As the Kaslo Vistors Guide says. . . "This beautiful community holds much in store for everyone. It boasts incredible hiking and biking trails, great fishing, camping and golfing, talented artists and musicians, and the best jazz festival around!

Kaslo was the region's first incorporated city, founded in 1893 and originally called Kane's Landing. It was known as the commercial centre of the gold, silver and lead-mining industries during the boom of the 1890s. Now Kaslo enjoys memories of that time in its beautiful heritage buildings, the celebration of May Days (each and every year since 1893), and the S.S. Moyie, a sternwheeler on the shore of Kootenay Lake."
